Yfosu Enterprise Ecommerce Website:

UX Case Study

UX/UI Decisions

To ensure an optimal user experience, I made strategic UI/UX decisions:

  • Homepage Layout: I structured the homepage to prominently display featured products with clear and enticing CTAs, guiding users towards conversion.

  • Enhanced Product Filtering: I implemented detailed filtering options allowing users to sort products by price, lamp type, color, and customer ratings, addressing specific user needs identified during research.

  • Checkout Process: I simplified the checkout flow, clearly marking each step with progress indicators, reducing user anxiety and abandonment rates.

Accessibility & Performance

I prioritized accessibility and performance by:

  • Designing to WCAG 2.1 AA standards, ensuring the website was accessible to a broad audience.

  • Optimizing images and leveraging caching strategies to significantly enhance loading speeds and improve the overall browsing experience.

Usability Testing & Iteration

Throughout development, I conducted iterative usability testing sessions with actual users, which allowed me to:

  • Gather direct feedback on prototype navigation and checkout clarity.

  • Refine and enhance usability based on real-world user interactions.

Testing results consistently showed increased user satisfaction, particularly with improved clarity in product exploration and streamlined checkout procedures.

Results & Outcomes

Post-launch analysis revealed significant improvements:

  • Notable increases in website traffic, user engagement, and online sales.

  • Reduction in cart abandonment rates, reflecting improved checkout process efficiency.

  • Positive customer feedback regarding usability, product clarity, and overall satisfaction.

Conclusion & Reflection

Through UX research, targeted user-centered design, and iterative testing, I successfully developed a robust ecommerce platform for Yfosu Enterprise. This project highlighted the value of deeply understanding user needs and continuously refining the design based on real user feedback. Moving forward, I aim to implement even more detailed user research and iterative prototyping early in the design process to further enhance user experiences.
